Soon's Birthday Part 2

Location: Blue Reef Fish and Chips

TeckShyen was back in Penang to celebrate Soon's birthday. With Ingolf's Kneipe fully booked, we decided to head to Blue Reef Fish and Chips for dinner. It is located in a relatively new residential area in the Tanjung Bungah area. After taking a few detours, we finally made it to Blue Reef.



This place is famed for its Alaskan Cod Fish and Chips and it didn't disappoint. What was surprising is that they serve veges with their fish and chips... which is a plus for me. The Mahi Mahi fish and chips was a bit dry. The Fettuccine was decent, but the fish roe adds a crisp texture to the pasta which is new to me. As for the Grilled Garoupa, it didn't leave an impression on me. (TeckShyen can you elaborate on this?) We had the Creme Brulee (Raspberry and Vanilla) and the pear dessert thingy (need help here...) for dessert.

As the name of the restaurant suggests, they are famous for their Fish & Chips and I'll definitely be back for more Alaskan Cod Fish and Chips.
