3 cars 14 people. Me, Soon, EanCheng, BengChin in my Myvi, Goy, wife, 2 kids and parents in law in his Livina, and Tung, Mun Hoe, 2 kids in their Alza. Livina and Myvi departed from Juru's Shell petrol station and headed for Ipoh for breakfast at the big tree.
As soon as we reach Bukit Raja, the traffic was terrible. The car was crawling until we reached Bharat tea farm for a rest.
After the short break we continue our journey to the hotel. Again, the jam during school holidays and weekend was just terrible. Sloppy road and jam burning my car clutch and also my muscle. I think the jam was not less than 1 hour or so. The bad news from the receptionist was housekeeping was not yet done. We had a Rm30 discount for the inconvenience. We left our stuffs in the apartment, which was in a pretty bad shape. One world to describe, gerli!
It was after 3pm when we went for our lunch and it was just the beginning of the eating frenzy...
Headed straight to the strawberry farm after lunch for Soon's favorite, strawberry...
Everyone felt satisfied after the meals...some headed back to the apartment, while the Myvi gang went to market for shopping. Although it was not my first time in cameron, but it was my first time in pasar malam...I was amazed by the varieties and also was so tempted by the foods.
Time for dinner! What else, steambot la...the tomyam was so damn spicy and the clear soup was good!
Again went to pasar malam for some home made ice creams, and walking with no purpose...Met Tung's sister with her pretty friends...and also Amos...the cutest baby I have ever seen...
We called it a day after some Uno games and Kampai...
It was early morning. I had spent a night alone in the living room, lonely and cold. Thanks to Tung's air inflated bed and comforter from Goy for keeping me warm and alive. We had some very nice wantan mee as breakfast before heading to the morning market and Raju strawberry for shopping again...and it was again, jam on hour way heading down to Avant to meet Tung. Had a communication breakdown before heading down to Ipoh as there was no phone coverage. Now we know how important a phone is. Not for on call during work only. We left Tung behind and straight headed to East Ocean restaurant for lunch. Alza followed closely with GPS. Two of my back passengers close their eyes during the winding down hill road. I think I drove polite enough...Goy and Tung's kids were showing some downhill symptoms when we reached the restaurant, but the young ones showed instant recovery after the meal...
We then headed back to Penang...what a nice but tiring trip for my leg...
